Financial planning can sometimes be simple and at times more complex. Everyone is different, but for most this is likely to include several areas of advice.

We spend considerable time getting to know our clients, how they feel about investment risk, what those risks mean to them and how these relate to the underlying funds or investments. It is key to build around the time-scales of your objectives, the different tax implications and ultimately, how these factors can help you achieve your goals.

(The Value of your investments (and any income from them) can go down as well as up and you may not get back the full amount you invested).

Most people have a pension of some sort. However, many people do not fully understand how their pensions work, how best to position their pensions to meet their objectives or indeed what their retirement benefits are likely to be. We deal with pensions every day, and can help explain how your current pensions work, and whether they are appropriate given your circumstances and objectives.

(A pension is a long-term investment not normally accessible until 55 (57 from April 2028))

Estate Planning

We have the knowledge and experience required to accompany you through all aspects of estate planning. This isn’t necessarily all about passing on your assets when the time comes, it is also about ensuring you have enough to live on and get the best out of life now. Estate planning should start early so that your money is in the right place at the right time and for whom you want it to be there for.

The Financial Conduct Authority does not regulate Estate Planning

When we talk about protection, we are normally referring to insurance, and putting the right policies in place to ensure that adequate funds are available in circumstances where you or your family would be financially vulnerable. This will include reviewing existing policies and taking into account whether a policy should be written in trust.

Protection plans typically have no cash in value at any time and cover will cease at the end of the term.

Cashflow Modelling

We use sophisticated tools to simulate your financial future. This will help you to see more visually what the future could hold. This has proven so invaluable that we now build this into the majority of our client meetings.

Financial Stress Testing

This is typically done as part of our cashflow modelling service. This allows us to stress test financial plans which gives us vital information as to how likely it is to succeed in order to put you in the best possible position to make the right decisions.

Business Protection

Business protection helps to protect your business should a director, partner, member or key employee be unable to work, suffer a critical illness or die. Having this financial protection in place is vital in allowing businesses to recover quickly and minimise the impact should the worst happen.
